I saw that on brand new today, its also very similar to the style of vivid ways over at http://www.blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/tutorials/logo-design-process-and-walkthrough-for-vivid-ways . Spooner also recently talked about how some other popular company came out with another similar logo to VW also. can't be original anymore. :(
